Guitars

The guitar is a musical equipment of the chordophone family, being a joined equipment played by plucking, either with fingers or a pick. The guitar comprises of a body with a rigid neck to which the strings, usually six in number but occasionally more, are adhered. Guitars are conventionally constructed of various woods and strung with animal gut or, more recently, with either nylon or steel cords. Some up to date guitars are made of polycarbonate components. Guitars are made and repaired by luthiers. There are prime families of guitars: acoustic and electric.
