Golden Gate Bridge

The golden gate bridge connection is a suspension bridge spanning the Golden barrier, the opening of the San Francisco embayment into the Pacific sea. As part of both U.S. path 101 and California State path 1, it connects the city of San Francisco on the to the north tilt of the San Francisco Peninsula to Marin shire. The Golden barrier connection was the longest suspension connection span in the world when it was accomplished throughout the year 1937, and has become an internationally identified symbol of San Francisco and California. Since its completion, the span extent has been surpassed by other bridges. It still has the second longest suspension connection main span in the joined States, after the Verrazano-Narrows connection in New York town. In 1999, it was graded fifth on the List of America's very popular Architecture by the American organisation of Architects.
